Mercer Island was named after a pair of its earliest known non-native visitors, the Mercer brothers, who would visit from Seattle to hunt, fish, and collect berries. It is located on the Eastside and is connected to Seattle by the Lake Washington Bridge, which was built in 1940. Once the bridge allowed for ease of access, the island began growing its Business District. Today, there are a wide variety of homes for sale that suit all types of housing needs. Mercer Island offers luxury and traditional resale homes and has some of the highest property values in the country. Homes for sale in Mercer Island vary: there are Condos For Sale On Mercer Island, Town-Homes For Sale In Mercer Island, and Single-Family Homes For Sale In Mercer Island. There are also many New Homes For Sale In Mercer Island and many under construction. Thank you for using SearchHomesNW.com to find 30% more listings than Zillow, Trulia, and Realtor.
